Where to eat in Madrid

Where to eat in Madrid

For years culinary innovations were to be found in Catalonia and the Basque country. Today things have changed, the Spanish capital is transformed in real capital of the taste. Madrileños from now on want surprise, new experience and haute gastronomy and they got it.

Even classic cuisine has been updated with imagination

Young chefs and known chefs are opening every month or so new places more astonishing one from another.

It’s not only molecular or nouvelle cuisine – a trade mark of Spain’s chef - it’s just new and fun, fusion and creative.

Of course Tapas are still a Madrid institution, nearly every bar offers these small pieces of heaven for just a few euro a piece. Of course Madrid is known for its fish and seafood and we enjoy every shell of it. Madrileños never turn back to the past and still like their classics… But today Madrid is going thru a gastronomical’ effervescence and when Madrid is in “Movida” it’s always good sign!!

In this “Best restaurants in Madrid” we try to help you find our favourite restaurants.. Not all but the ones we like the most.

You can find also in our directory; restaurants sorted by type like: Tapas, Mediterranean, Nouvelle cuisine, Fish and seafood

Remember that lunch is served from 2pm until 4pm and dinner from 9pm to 11pm. Restaurants in Madrid are often closed on Sunday nights.
