7-Day Small Group Tour in Charming Hotels from Madrid to Andalucia and Toledo
Day 1 Madrid - Arrival to Madrid airport and Transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day free to relax and explore the surroundings. Evening Welcome Sangria drink at hotel, where the hostess will be pleased to solve whatever questions you have about the tour. Overnight at hotel Innside Madrid Luchana 4* or similar.
Day 2 Madrid - After breakfast, enjoy a panoramic tour of Madrid. Highlights include the magnificent fountains of Neptune and Cibeles, the Alcala Gate and the Plaza de España, where we will see the most representative buildings. We will visit inside the spectacular Royal Palace which is still in use for Goverment ceremonies. You will have free time the rest of the day to stroll the many squares of the city or spend some time shopping.
Day 3 Madrid/Toledo/Granada - After breakfast drive through La Mancha, land of the knights as Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. Toledo was the capital of Spain during several centuries. In the 13th and 15th Centuries, Muslim, Jews and Christians populations lived together peacefully becoming a great cultural community. We will enjoy walking along its narrow streets where the history can be felt in the air. During the guided tour, we will see the exterior part of the Cathedral and the inside of St Tome Church (where El Greco's masterpiece can be found). In the afternoon we will continue to Granada. Overnight at hotel Casa de la Trinidad 4* or similar.
Day 5 Seville - After breakfast, enjoy a morning guided tour to visit the inside of the Gothic Cathedral, the largest in Spain and third in the world and which contains the burial of Christopher Columbus. You can walk up the Giralda tower to have superb views over the city.
Then we will walk by Santa Cruz Quarter, a maze of small alleys and small squares with the peacefulness of tiny gardens. You will spend the afternoon at your leisure. In the evening, we will enjoy a tapas dinner in a characteristic restaurant, the most representative of local cuisine.
Day 6 Seville/Cordoba/Madrid - After breakfast, depart to Cordoba. During the Muslim kingdom it reached its maximum splendour, especially in the 9th and 10th Centuries, when it became the capital of the Caliphate. Morning guided city tour to visit the Mosque followed by a walk around the Jewish Quarter, with its narrow streets and Andalusian patios. The afternoon continue travelling to Madrid. Overnight at hotel Innside Madrid Luchana 4* or similar.
Day 7 Madrid - After breakfast, Transfer to Madrid airport.
