On ne peut pas aller en Espagne et encore moins à Madrid sans acheter des espadrilles. Casa Hernanz est certainement la plus connue des toutes les “alpargaterias" (fabriques d’espadrilles). Et tant pis s’il faut subir une ligne d’attente, cela vaut la peine de repartir au mois avec 4 ou 5 paires d’espadrilles, et nous savons que vous le ferez !!

My Daughter Laurie and I bought many pairs of espadrilles at Casa Hernandez on our last visit to Madrid and I just wanted to say that we are still enjoying those shoes and they have endured the test of time and wear.

This shoe store is truly the height of my shopping experience each time I visit Madrid, and that is often. My daughter, Laurie and I, recommend it to anyone who plans to visit this marvelous city as a must. The best shopping you will ever have, even if is a pair or pairs of espadrilles that are hand made in Spain and fit like a glove.

Just got back from Madrid. Love the espadrilles at Casa Hernanz. Don't be intimidated by the line. It moves quickly and is well worth the wait.

Espadrilles of all kinds and all colors in the shop at affordable prices. The best way to get here is through Plaza Mayor. Calle de Toledo is south of Plaza Mayor. Be ready to wait in line. Staff of the shop is accommodating and patient.
